Mizuno have been hard at work creating another pack inspired by their Japanese heritage, this time tapping into the vibrant fishing communityΒ of the Kyoto prefecture. Taking influence from the architecture of Ine Town, in which the two story buildings functionedΒ as both a dock for boats and a room for the fisherman, the shoes in this pack look to emulate these structures with a two tone colour scheme that creates two levels within the architecture of the shoe itself. The colours give off a nautical feeling, which runs in tandem with the fish illustrations present throughout the whole collection.
The Wave Rider 10 was launched for the neutral runner that seeks out cushioning and responsive wear in tandem. Beneath wide-set mesh and retro styling, Mizunoβs thermoplastic βParallel Wave Technologyβ insert is embedded into the very DNA of this silhouette. Hints of brown throughoutΒ the blue upper emulate the wooden structureΒ of the Ine Town houses, a bone midsole adds some depth to the shoe and gives some separationΒ to the composition. Each pair is executed with Runbird branding, humbling aΒ metallic finish whilst complimenting immense richness.
